Here's your chance to affect policy on a state level when it comes to health issues. 

The Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) is accepting applications from individuals wishing to be considered for its Community Advisory Council (CAC).  Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, March 2, 2012.   

 The 13-member CAC works to gather community input on health issues affecting Missourians.  It informs the grantmaking decisions and strategic planning of MFH’s Board of Directors, with special focus on programs for the uninsured, underinsured and underserved.

Comedy Central will air a documentary about one of our favorite comedian's Bernie Mac on February 19th.  It features commentary from Bernie's family, actors and fellow comedians.  The special will be available on DVD on February 21st.

Here's a clip from the documentary.  There's a part in the clip where Chris Rock admits to still having Bernie's number saved in his phone.  He says he can't give rid of it.  BERNIE!  We miss you.

I interviewed Cheri Alexander for My Personal Soundtrack the first time a while ago and she told me how Luther Vandross' Here & Now reminded her of the love she has for her husband.  It's the sweetest thing ever. Almost had me tearing up!  Listen to it now! 

Here's part two fo the our interview.  Cheri talks about how Stevie Wonder's My Cheri Amour makes her think of her childhood.  We all have songs that remind us of our parents, don't we?  Mine would be Anita Baker's Angel or really anything Anita Baker. It reminds me of my mom cooking homestyle potatoes, steak and toast for breakfast while Anita sang in the background.  Love it!

Hey!  I didn't load Kurema's Personal Soundtrack from last Sunday.  Sorry!  I loved this interview because Kurema was very honest and open and funny!  Here her explain how Erykah Badu helped her get out of a love triangle.

Not that you can put much weight into these findings, but I always thinks its interesting to get a peek into the mind of the opposite sex.  The magazine "Redbook" asked a bunch of guys what they think women should wear more often.  Here are the top five outfits.  The one that stood out to me the most is #3.  Get those Freekum dresses out, ladies!  At one point, that's all I ever bought...dresses.  They are easy and instantly make me feel like I put a lot of effort into my outfit when really I didn't.  Get some cute heels and baby...it's an OCCASION.  Even if I'm not really going anywhere special, dresses just make me FEEL like I am. 

Here's Beyonce's Freekum Dress for a little inspiration 

#1.)  Jeans and a Tank Top.  It might sound boring, but they say it's just sexy ENOUGH.  According to "Redbook", it makes you look low-maintenance . . . which guys LOVE.  And if you put on some knee-high boots, they'll like it even more.

#2.)  The Librarian Look.  To "Redbook", that means a pencil skirt, blouse, heels, and glasses.  But the clothes don't matter nearly as much as the glasses do.  As long as you've got glasses on and your hair up, you can pull it off.

#3.)  Cocktail Dresses.  If you're going to something more formal, guys prefer a cocktail dress to an evening gown.  And it's not just because it's shorter.  It's what it SAYS about you:  A full-length dress makes you look more sophisticated, but a cocktail dress makes you look more fun and relaxed.

#4.)  Sports Jerseys.  Obviously, you'll mostly attract guys who like sports . . . but that's also the MAJORITY of guys.  Fitted jerseys are best, or just take a normal jersey and tie a knot in the back.

 #5.)  Yoga Outfits.  Especially the black stretchy pants.
