(KMOV.com)–Before you head out to cast your voting ballot today, be sure to check your polling places as many of them have changed.

Director of the St. Louis Board of Elections Mary Wheeler-Jones said about six polling sites have closed since the November election.

Wheeler-Jones says if voters show up at the wrong site, they will simply be re-directed to the correct location.

“Somebody might have gotten there at 5:30 but voting starts at 6,” she said. “There have been cases I guess in the presidential, where a couple of polling places say they couldn’t find the rosters. We sent people there. We found the rosters. They were just overwhelmed, and just got excited and couldn’t find things that were there.”

Officials expect around 20-25 percent turnout Tuesday, which would be slightly higher than usual.

Polls open at 6 a.m., and close at 7 p.m.  For information on the races and voting locations click here.
