The nominations  for the 2013 Golden Globe were announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press  Association. Denzel  Washingtonscored a nom for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion  Picture” for his role as pilot in “Flight.” Despite the controversy surrounding “Django Unchained,” it picked up several nominations, including “Best Picture,  Drama.” Don Cheadle also has a chance at winning the coveted statue.
