Nelly and six other members of his crew were detained after marijuana, heroine and a loaded gun were found on their tour bus at a check point in Texas. One of Nelly's crew members, Brian Keith Jones, admitted the illegal drugs and loaded gun were his, and was then arrested while Nelly and the rest were released.
UPDATE: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ field tests of the drugs in the baggies confirmed it was heroin — but sources close to Nelly claim it was Molly aka pure ecstasy.
In addition to his tweets, Nelly released a statement on October 11th regarding the incident...
"It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning, October 11th. Neither I nor anyone else on thetour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials in Sierra Blanca, Texas did not press charges against anyone other than that individual."
