The co-owner of the largest independent music store in the Midwest and one of the largest in the country got a chance to meet with the President of the United States yesterday.

Vintage Vinyl’s Lew Prince, along with 14 other small business owners, met with Obama during a 90 minute meeting at the White House to discuss the impact of tax policies Tuesday afternoon and exchange ideas for better practices.  In addition to being the Managing Partner of the longtime Delmar Loop store, Prince is also a leading member of Business for Shared Prosperity.

“We’re not here asking for anything for ourselves,” Prince said. “We’re here because we want the best for our country. I’ve run a small business for more than 30 years. Expecting high-income tax cuts to trickle down as job creation is like pouring gas on your hood and expecting it to fuel your engine. It’s time to stop giving tax breaks to wealthy households and big corporations, and reinvest in America.”
