In an exclusive clip from the upcoming season of “Smash,” Veronica “Ronnie” Moore—the newly added character played by Jennifer Hudson—sings a brand new song while performing at her own televised concert. The song, entitled “I Can’t Let Go” was written by the show’s composers and exec producers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
Also, look for a cameo in the audience by Sheryl Lee Ralph as Ronnie’s (Hudson’s) mother.
Season 2 of “Smash” premieres with a two-hour episode on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 9e/8c and moves to its regular timeslot on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10e/9c on NBC.
