It’s important to think of yourself as a winner. In every situation that you find yourself in, how you see yourself in the situation is going to play a major part in the final outcome.
Many times we approach job interviews, conversations with loved ones, business negotiations, and even losing weight with a defeated mindset. We may have had so many disappointing outcomes in the past that our brains automatically assume the worst possible outcome. This is so counterproductive because how you think of yourself and see yourself is going to be reflected in everything that you say and do. If you are afraid that you will fail, say the wrong things, or be taken advantage of, that is what will most likely happen. On the contrary, if you expect to succeed, make a wonderful impression, and have a positive outcome, then most likely you will! Your belief in yourself, or lack there of, is going to contribute a great deal to whether you actually do fail or succeed.
Whatever the situation is, approach it like you’ve already won; think like a Champion! That requires faith, confidence, time spent perfecting your gifts and strengthening your weaknesses, and sometimes, daily pep talks to remind yourself that, no matter the situation, no matter the outcome, you have already won because you are a winner! Even if you don’t initially believe this, you can train yourself to believe it by continually telling yourself this. Whatever you repeatedly tell yourself, with conviction, will eventually become a genuine belief. -love, sj
