An official release date and more details for the documentary “Venus and Serena” have been announced.

According to Magnolia Pictures, the project is an “intimate documentary inside the lives of tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams, when injuries and illness threatened to take them out of the game.”

 .

The film’s description continues:

    “Set against the 2011 and 2012 tennis seasons, directors Maiken Baird and Michelle Major attain a privileged intimacy with the sisters, and their inner circle of family members, trainers and friends, as they fight to get back on top,” the film’s description reads. “Whatever opinion you hold of the Williams sisters, you’ll come away with a deeper appreciation of what drives them to greatness.”

Along with a look back at their on their career path, the 100-minute documentary will include exclusive interviews by Chris Rock, John McEnroe, and Bill Clinton.

“Venus and Serena” is scheduled to release on iTunes on April 4 and in theaters on May 10.
