Sources say rapper Nas is on the mend after falling ill and needing to be hospitalized. He was released from a New York City hospital earlier today after being admitted Friday for severe vertigo. The Queens native was flying to NYC for a scheduled appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael when he became ill.  Upon landing, he was taken to a nearby hospital.

A recovering Nas tweeted: “Peace y’all. I’m out of the ER & doin alright. I’m on bed rest for a few. Apologies to everyone @ Live w/ Kelly & Michael. I’ll make it up.”

Nas has been nominated for 4 Grammy Awards this year, including best rap album.  The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 10th.
