Dear Tony:
I was once friends with a co-worker. Everything was cool, but then she abruptly decided to end our friendship. She said I had offended her. I apologized for my offense, in the hope we could be cool again, but to this day, she will not speak to me at all. I attempted to introduce her to my wife at a work-related event, but she completely blew me off. Though my feelings were hurt, I chose to forgive the offense. She then basically accused me of “stalking” her because I occasionally make eye contact with her. We work at the same place, so it’s not like I can avoid seeing her. I recently wrote a letter to her, stating that I wanted to just bury the hatchet and maybe at least have a civil relationship. I have yet to give it to her, because I don’t want it used against me to justify a case. Life is too short to be carrying a grudge this long. Should I try to make peace, or leave her be? Please advise.
