Dear Tony,

I'm graduating from high school this year and I got a full ride to a school in Chicago. My boyfriend doesn't want me to go but that doesn't bother me. My mother doesn''t want me to go either. She says Chicago is too far and too dangerous for someone my age. I'll be 18 in May. I really want to go. If I stay here I won't be able to spread my wings. I told my mother this and she took it as me wanting to get buck wild. How can I make her see this?
