Dear Tony,
I cashed my husband's income tax check without him knowing. He thinks it's been lost in the mail. I cashed it because he's irresponsible with money and he never comes through on his end. He wrecked my car a few months ago and keeps promising to buy me a new one. He is all talk and no action. I have been having to ask my friends for rides back and forth to work. He doesn't get it. He says that's what friends are supposed to do--help. So because he wasn't doing anything to help me, I helped myself--to his income tax check. I cashed his check and put it down on a new car. Now, I just don't know what I'm going to say or do when I drive home in a new car. I told the dealership that I would pick up the car in a few days so I can have some time to think about what I'm going to tell him. What should I say?
