Dear Tony,
My boyfriend's mother recently accused him of stealing some money she had sitting out on her dresser. It was about $40. She says that my boyfriend took it after she refused to give him some money. He is out of work right now and needed gas and other little things. My boyfriend says that he didn't take it and that he's no thief. Now, his mother is telling me that he's no good and that I should leave him alone because if he treats her disrespectfully-- no good will come to anybody he's with. I love him and he's been on and off jobs the year we've been together, but I've stood by him.  I don't know if he took his mother's money or not. Like I said, he says he didn't. I think I believe him. I'm just wondering if his mother is being petty over $40 or if I should really listen to what she's telling me and get out of this relationship before I get in too deep. What do you think?
