fox2now.com - A federal court has struck down a Missouri law allowing local employers to deny their employees access to affordable birth control.

Part of the federal ‘Affordable Care Act’ calls for access to ‘no co-pay’ birth control that went into effect in August 2012. The ruling cites a provision in the U.S. Constitution that declares federal laws take precedence over contradictory state laws.
Planned Parenthood of Kansas and mid-Missouri are calling the ruling a victory.
