Dear Tony,

My husband and I are parents to two kids. The oldest, a daughter, will be starting high school next school year. I would like to have her go to an elite private high school. Money isn't the issue. My husband's issue is she'll lose her "Blackness." He feels the school doesn't offer any culture. He's totally against this for that reason. I see his point but that shouldn't be the only factor. I'm trying to prepare her for the most opportunities. She's not aware of our plans. She will be as soon as I can convince my husband that this the right move.
